Booking

How can I book an appointment?

You can book your appointment directly through our website via Fresha. This is the fastest way to see all available treatments, prices and time slots.

I am not sure what treatment to book. What should I choose?

If you are not sure what to book, you can take our short nail quiz. It helps you find the treatment that fits your nails, lifestyle and schedule. You can also send us a clear photo of your nails by WhatsApp, so we can advise you.

Can I book through Instagram or TikTok?

No. We do not handle bookings or customer service through Instagram or TikTok DM. Please book through our website or contact us by WhatsApp or email.

Can I request a specific nail stylist?

Yes. You can choose your preferred nail stylist when booking online, depending on availability. Please note that prices may differ between Junior, Experienced and Master Nail Technicians.

Why do prices differ per nail stylist?

Our prices are based on experience level, technical skill and treatment complexity. Junior Nail Technicians are still growing within our Polish Academy. Experienced and Master Nail Technicians have more experience and advanced technical training. Please note that prices may differ between Junior, Experienced and Master Nail Technicians.

Appointments

Can I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Yes. Non members can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before the appointment. Polish Club members can reschedule or cancel up to 6 hours before the appointment.

What happens if I cancel too late?

Late cancellations may be charged according to our booking policy. This protects our schedule and our team.

What happens if I am late?

For appointments longer than 50 minutes, our grace time is 15 minutes. For appointments shorter than 50 minutes, our grace time is 10 minutes. After the grace time, your treatment may be shortened, changed or marked as a no show.

What is your no show policy?

If you do not arrive and do not contact us in time, your appointment may be marked as a no show. No shows may be charged and may affect future bookings.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Appointments require a deposit of 50% or prepayment through our booking system. This secures your appointment.

Treatments

What is the difference between gel polish and BIAB?

Gel polish is a colour treatment for natural nails. It gives a polished look and lasts longer than regular nail polish. BIAB is a builder gel treatment that adds more strength and structure to the natural nail. It is often better for clients who want to grow their own nails.

What is the difference between BIAB and hard gel?

BIAB is more flexible and is often used for natural nail growth and strengthening. Hard gel is stronger and more structured. It is suitable for clients who need more support or have longer natural nails.

Can I book a treatment if I have product from another salon?

Yes. Please book the correct removal or infill option for nails from another salon. This gives us enough time to safely remove, assess and prepare your nails.

Why does removal from another salon cost more?

Products from another salon may be unknown to us. They can take more time to remove safely. We always want to protect your natural nail as much as possible.

What is a clean (japanese) manicure?

A clean (japanese) manicure focuses on nail shaping, cuticle care and a clean shiny finish without gel product. We always want to protect your natural nail as much as possible.

Do you remove acrylic?

If acrylic removal is available, please book the correct removal service. Acrylic removal can take extra time and must be done carefully to protect the natural nail.

Nail Health

Will BIAB damage my natural nails?

BIAB should not damage your natural nails when it is applied, maintained and removed correctly. Damage usually happens from picking, peeling, incorrect removal or overfiling. BIAB is a builder gel treatment that adds more strength and structure to the natural nail. It is often better for clients who want to grow their own nails.

How often should I come back for BIAB?

BIAB is more flexible and is often used for natural nail growth and strengthening. Most clients come back every 3 to 4 weeks. This depends on your nail growth, lifestyle and product condition.

How often should I come back for gel polish?

Yes. Please book the correct removal or infill option for nails from another salon. Most clients come back every 3 - 4 weeks for gel polish.

What should I do if my nails are weak or damaged?

Book a treatment focused on nail health or contact us before booking. We can advise you based on the condition of your natural nails. Sometimes the best choice is to start with a gentle treatment and build strength over time.

Can I remove BIAB or gel polish at home?

We do not recommend removing BIAB, hard gel or gel polish at home. Incorrect removal can damage the natural nail. Please book a professional removal.

Do you remove acrylic?

If acrylic removal is available, please book the correct removal service. Acrylic removal can take extra time and must be done carefully to protect the natural nail.

Guarantee

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes. We offer a guarantee on gel treatments, BIAB, hard gel and gel polish. The guarantee only applies to issues caused by our work

What is the guarantee period for non members?

Gel polish: 5 days BIAB and hard gel: 7 days

What is the guarantee period for Polish Club members?

Gel polish: 10 days BIAB and hard gel: 12 days Most clients come back every 3 - 4 weeks for gel polish.

What is not covered by the guarantee?

The guarantee does not cover damage caused by accidents, picking, biting, incorrect aftercare, outside products or work done by another salon after your appointment.

What should I do if I have an issue after my appointment?

Please contact us within the guarantee period by WhatsApp or email. We may ask you to send a clear photo of your nails so we can review the issue.

Polish Club and Community

What is Polish Club?

Polish Club is our client club for clients who love coming back to Polish Nail Bar. Members receive extra benefits, more flexibility and special perks throughout the year. The guarantee only applies to issues caused by our work

What are the benefits of Polish Club?

Polish Club members receive benefits such as extended guarantee, more flexible cancellation, exclusive perks, priority support and member offers.

What is the difference between Polish Club and a membership?

Gel polish: 10 days BIAB and hard gel: 12 days Polish Club gives you access to benefits and perks. A membership gives you monthly treatment credit and also includes Polish Club benefits.

Do you offer packages?

Yes. Packages are available for selected treatments. They are perfect for clients who come back regularly and want to plan their nail care ahead.

Can I combine discounts or perks?

Please contact us within the guarantee period by WhatsApp or email. Polish Club members may combine loyalty points with one other eligible perk. Non members cannot stack multiple discounts or perks.

Products and Hygiene

What products do you use?

We work with carefully selected professional nail products, including our own Polish Amsterdam products. Our products are chosen with nail health, long lasting results and salon quality in mind.

Are your products professional quality?

Yes. We use professional salon quality products every day in our salon. Our own Polish Amsterdam BIAB and gel polishes are HEMA and TPO free, and are trusted by 80+ salons across the Netherlands.

How do you protect hygiene in the salon?

We follow strict hygiene routines. Tools are cleaned and disinfected carefully. We work in a clean and structured way to protect both clients and our team.

Can I buy Polish Amsterdam products?

Yes. Selected Polish Amsterdam products are available through our webshop.

Are your treatments suitable for sensitive nails?

Please contact us within the guarantee period by WhatsApp or email. This depends on your natural nails and sensitivity. Please let us know before your treatment if your nails are sensitive, damaged or painful. We will always try to advise you honestly. Non members cannot stack multiple discounts or perks.

Before Your Visit

Should I arrive with bare nails?

If possible, yes. If you currently have gel polish, BIAB, hard gel or acrylic on your nails, please book the correct removal service. Our products are chosen with nail health, long lasting results and salon quality in mind.

Can I bring my own nail design inspiration?

Yes. You can bring inspiration photos. Please keep in mind that nail art depends on time, nail length, nail condition and the stylist booked.

Can every design be recreated?

Not always. Some designs need extra time, a specific nail length or a specific stylist. We will always do our best to create something beautiful that suits your nails.

Should I book nail art separately?

Yes. Please add nail art when booking if you want a design. This gives us enough time for your appointment.

Can I eat or drink during my appointment?

You are welcome to enjoy our complimentary drinks and little treats during your appointment, including coffee, matcha and a selection of sweets and snacks.

Aftercare

How can I make my nails last longer?

Use cuticle oil daily, avoid picking or peeling, wear gloves when cleaning and avoid using your nails as tools. For extra support, we also recommend our collaboration with Keanto, which includes biotin and vitamins to help support stronger, healthier nail growth.

Can I file my nails after a gel or BIAB treatment?

Yes, you can gently file your nails at home if needed, especially if you notice a small chip at the front edge. We recommend filing carefully in one direction and avoiding heavy filing, as this can affect the shape or seal of the product.

What should I avoid after my appointment?

Avoid picking, peeling, heavy cleaning without gloves and long exposure to water or chemicals. We also recommend being careful with strongly coloured foods and spices, such as yellow curry, as they may stain lighter nail colours.

Why is cuticle oil important?

Cuticle oil keeps the nail area hydrated. This helps your nails stay flexible, healthy and less likely to lift or break.

What should I do if one nail breaks?

Please contact us by WhatsApp or email with a clear photo. We will advise you based on the issue and the guarantee period.
